Welcome to the blog of OneStar Foundation: Texas Center for Social Impact. We are excited to share this new information resource with you.

Every month, a specific topic of interest to the nonprofit sector will be highlighted–topics such as volunteering, social innovation, trends in giving, evaluating your organization and more.  From time to time, we will also introduce sector experts and give them the opportunity to share their perspectives.  We also plan to offer commentary on articles or books that are of note to our field.  We hope that this approach will give you a broad range of “food for thought” as we engage in thoughtful dialogue and learn from one another.

OneStar: Texas Center for Social Impact focuses on increased results for the people served by the nonprofit sector through promotion of innovation, entrepreneurship, sound business practices, well-managed volunteer programs, research and rigorous evaluation. OneStar also serves as the state’s National Service Commission administering the AmeriCorps grant program and serves as the Faith-Based and Community Initiative office. OneStar carries out its mission for state government as a supporting nonprofit of the Office of the Governor.
